Middle Child is a Geelong-based jewellery brand with designer Lauren Hassett at the helm. With a design career spanning 20 years and with a passion for mid-century style, her creations embody the clean aesthetics of the widely loved era. Custom elements are meticulously composed into unique earrings and necklaces by our wonderful and creative team. Our collection is also plumped with practical and elegant jewellery storage solutions.
We love to manufacture in limited-edition quantities, it means every time you visit you will see something fresh and new, plus it means we can just keep on designing and making gorgeous things, a true win-win. With a design career spanning 20 years and with a passion for mid-century style, Lauren's work is inspired by her vintage-laden wardrobe and home. Her process is a tactile hand-eye collaboration, a joyful exploration of colour, shape and balance.

An avid taker of notes and maker of rad graphics, Em is a visual storyteller that has a knack for bringing together Loz’s wandering and sometimes wild ideas. Em also spends time on the production bench handmaking our beautiful wares.

In early 2022 the stars aligned, and we moved into our dream studio space in North Geelong, within the heritage listed Federal Mills. Lauren has long had an affinity with the area, as in times gone by it was a vintage collectors mecca.
